Ellen is originally from Michigan and has lived on Big Island for over a decade. Her reason for moving to Hawaii, a place she had never been, nor known anyone who lived there, was a combination of courage and a thirst for adventure. As a result, she has acquired a vast knowledge of the Hawaiian islands and culture. As an ambitious student, she graduated from the University of Hawaii at Hilo in 2015 with two degrees: a Bachelor's of Business Administration and a Bachelor's of Science. In tandem, she obtained a Specialty in Tropical Horticulture, as well as Plant Science and Agro-ecology. She was recognized on the Dean's list for her agricultural studies. She also achieved a Plant Tissue Culture Certificate, Beekeeping Certificate, and her Realtor's license.

Ellen has experience in property management on the Big Island. Her responsibilities included managing 162 units at a large apartment complex.  As a real estate agent, she was chosen to host an ongoing open house at an internationally renown, 5-star restaurant. This beautiful farm to table operation positioned on 20 acres of tropical fruit orchards was listed at $6.25 million. Due to her “Champion demeanor”, the owners explicitly entrusted Ellen to showcase their life’s work during the open houses. She is intelligent, vivacious, disciplined, operates in an ethical manner, and always has her client's best interest at heart.  She is eager to show you the best of what the Big Island has to offer.

When she's not working with clients at Elite Pacific Properties, Ellen enjoys adventuring around the island with her dog Petey, swimming, canoeing in Hilo Bay, diving into a good book, silversmithing, archery, and going to the shooting range. Ellen, who embraces the spirit of aloha and strongly believes in giving back to the 'aina, has volunteered over 100 hours with the Hawaii Department of Agriculture's Apiary team and has a beehive in her own backyard.
