Taking Initiative and Creating A Memorable Impact Worldwide

When Greg Burns decided to approach NBC and pitch an idea he had been contemplating for a while, he had no idea that a major television network would grab onto his idea and create an international mini program that would air multiple times around the globe.

“When the Golf Channel covers the opening of the PGA season in Maui each year they also highlight the beauty of the island as a dream destination” says Greg.  “It made perfect sense to me for them to also highlight what it might mean to own a second home on the island or to move to Maui.  As a result, I talked to them about highlighting some of the amazing real estate that can be found on Maui.  After pursuing NBC with this idea, they finally agreed to test it out and loved the response they received.”

For the past three years, Greg has been featured throughout the globe on the Golf Channel showcasing some of his listings during the tournament.

His persistence has paid off and his creativity does not stop there as seen in the enclosed spot.

His message to all agents is to not let anything stop you from pursuing your vision in every way and offer something special and unique to make yourself stand out from the crowds.

Top 5 Reasons Buyers (and Agents) Love New Projects

Elite’s Project Division recently added a third new development to its growing roster of new projects allowing agents a multitude of exciting brand new inventory to sell.  With a background in new developments from the builders’ side, Paul Chicoine, Division President of Project Sales for Elite, has been leading the charge in adding new projects and lists the following top reasons that Buyers tend to navigate to newly constructed homes:

# 1. Amenities

When buying in a new development which typically means Master or planned communities, you are typically buying a lifestyle which can include amenities such as golf courses, clubhouses or parks and community spaces that are close to transit and schools.

#2A Selection of Floor Plan Options with Personalization

Typically, the layout in a new or pre built construction home will favor wide-open floor plans, larger bedrooms and bathrooms with plenty of natural light.  Developers also offer a wide range of finishes and amenities which allow buyers to add their own new personal touches throughout the home.

 # 3. Smart Homes with Advanced Technology and less Maintenance

Smart technology options allow buyers to automate everything from speakers and cable to internet and alarm systems.  A newly built home also requires less maintenance since everything from appliances to the HVAC system and roof are brand new and warranties can protect your new home for years before you need to undertake any major repairs.

# 4Healthy & Safe

Most of today’s new homes meet stringent energy standards and codes which were not available in the past.  Items such as high-efficiency furnaces and air conditioners use the latest in environmentally-friendly coolants. Even cabinets, carpets and paints with organic compounds are used to improve the indoor air quality so that you and your family can breathe easier.

# 5. Efficiency

From more efficient insulation and windows that create airtight homes that are less expensive to heat and cool than older models, to new appliances and home systems that are more energy efficient, everything is geared toward more efficient homes with lower utility bills.

“Of course, agents love selling new developments for many of the same reasons, as well as having the added inventory and new excitement a new project can bring to an area”” says Paul “The key is finding a developer and a builder who offers what Buyers care about.”

Creativity and Persistence Results in $28 Million Sale

3580-Anini-01

Anne Eliason, recently affiliated agent with Elite Pacific Properties, just concluded one of the more complex and compelling real estate transactions in the state of Hawai’i, representing a combined value of $28 million.

It was just 19 months ago that Eliason first made her mark in the competitive luxury Kauai real estate market, when at auction, she skillfully outbid all other parties for the Anini Estate. Exercising her investment acumen by convincing her former business partner of the unique opportunity of this one-of-a-kind residence, Eliason’s client was the prevailing bidder and bought the estate, sight unseen. Through consistent diligent marketing efforts, supported by Elite Properties’ Broker Margaret Reynolds, Eliason was able to attract and nurture the interest of a buyer, who proved an ideal partner for her Seller’s financial intentions. The Anini owner wished to retain a second, smaller home on Kauai and the Buyer, owner of another notable property on the island, desired a larger residence. This transaction involved the estate, the vacation-licensed beachfront property as well as a lot owned by the buyer.

Elite Broker Margaret Reynolds enthusiastically endorsed this complex transaction:

“We love to support the creativity of our agents” said Margaret. “Through Anne’s sheer creativity and persistence, she recognized the opportunity and potential of this exquisite property and sold a property in 78 days that had been on the market for years. Elite Pacific Properties is immensely proud of Anne!”

Elite Pacific Properties, Hawaii’s highest volume luxury brokerage and vacation rental firm with offices on Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island, has opened its seventh office in Hawaii.  The new office is located in Wailea a well-known upscale area of Maui and marks the second office location in Maui for Elite.  This expansion is indicative of Elite’s successful growth with now over 190 real estate agents working island wide for the company.

Riette Jenkins, a Broker-Realtor on Maui since 1988 and a Partner with Elite Pacific is in charge of the new Maui office and has attracted a number of top agents to work out of the Wailea location since she joined the company at the end of last year.  “Maui has consistently been voted as the top island in the world and Wailea is perhaps the most pristine area in all of Maui. We have some of the most magnificent homes, spectacular golf courses and wonderful selection of shops and restaurants on the island and we felt it was essential to Elite’s growth as a luxury brand to have a central office in Wailea for our agents and clients to meet.”

“This is a very significant addition for us” added Paul Mayer, Managing Partner of Elite Pacific Properties.  “We have very strong well-established real estate brokers in West Maui and knew we needed a second location in South Maui.  Agents working out of the Wailea office specialize in high-end properties throughout Wailea, Makena, North Shore and Upcountry Maui so we also needed space to accommodate our continued planned growth throughout these areas.”

There was a high turn-out to celebrate the official opening of the new office and to witness the traditional Hawaiian blessing which was conducted by Kahu Alika of Keawala’s Congregational Church of Makena.
